Hi, I’m Avery, aka Ave, a Vancouver-based multidisciplinary artist who blends graphic design, illustration, graffiti, and typography to create bold, juxtaposed pieces that pop (and hopefully make you look twice).

I’m endlessly inspired by bringing unexpected elements together to tell a story. Think: music lyrics, memorable quotes, organic shapes, nature, and the overflowing, doodle-covered margins of my old school notebooks. If there was a blank space, I filled it - with lines, patterns, and whatever came to mind.

Let’s just say my style has commitment issues. One day I’m deep in clean lines, the next I'm freestyling graffiti on my Cintiq. I like to follow my impulses, test new techniques, and see what sticks. It doesn’t always go to plan but I love exploring my creativity.

I’m a big believer in not boxing myself into one look or medium. The beauty of constant experimentation is that every piece, and every collection, is its own unique world, totally different from the last. It keeps things fresh, keeps me on my toes, and I’m never bored!
